Jacob Beranek is an American composer of music rooted in melody and narrative structure, with a unique perspective in honoring traditions—musical, religious, or even his Czech heritage.
He currently serves as Composer-in-Residence for the Midsummer’s Music Festival, and his works have been championed by such acclaimed ensembles as The Gesualdo Six (London), the Band of the Castle Guards & Czech Police (Prague Castle), the Wisconsin Philharmonic Orchestra, and the GRAMMY®-nominated ALIAS Chamber Ensemble (Nashville). Upcoming highlights in 2021 include performances by the Euterpe Quintet in South Korea's Seoul Art Center, the Chicago Philharmonic Chamber Players, Midsummer's Music, and the Vanderbilt Musik Akademie in Berlin. |
